Electric: The party also viewed 2 "shunters" that ran on rails parallel to the discharge sidings. They were powered by electricity delivered by cables, and moved the wagons (sometimes still attached to the train loco) by means of a metal "arm" that went between the wagons. They have flangeless bogie wheel sets (4w-4w), but use horizontally positioned wheels which push along between the rails. They appeared to be manufactured by "Rexroth" and use Siemens electrical equipment.

The party enjoyed a ride behind LM350.
One of LM180 or LM186 is dsm (unable to distinguish which was which).
FH 3068 was numbered 26 or 28 when working for Guiness.
C42 was away at a private site (someones house) checking the gauge on their track. It was expected back within 2 weeks.

The party viewed from a distance a potential narrow gauge locomotive built by Unilok c2010 used to help operate the sluice gates. It awaits further inspection to see if it is a loco or a powered winch.

HE 2280 is soon to depart for Dromod.
C&LR carriage No. 7 is heavily rebuilt and shortened from original form.

Stradbally Steam Museum, Stradbally, Laois (visit).
Gauge 1ft 10": Steam: 15 - Spence/12. Carriage: Unnumbered ex-Guiness 4 wheel open back/back longitudinal seats.

The party went to the address it is believed RH 314222/51 is kept. The loco was not visible from outside. A local person suggested that the original owner had died and his son, P Byrne, had taken over the address. It is unclear what, if anything, has happened to the loco.

This was the final visit for the majority of the group, who then returned to England via the Rosslare - Fishguard ferry. Special thanks must be given to Roy Morris, who organised a slick and extensive tour, with help from Andrew Waldron for contacts and locations.
