1) Pullman 114 is under restoration for the Swanage Railway and was expected to be complete by June 2008.

2) BR 4899 was also under restoration for Swanage, completion date not known.

3) BR 1682 was under restoration for Severn Valley Railway, completion date not known.

4) BR 21268 was under restoration for Bressingham, completion date not known.

5) BR 92146 is owned by Rampart Rail.

1) The main workshop at this location was not entered as it was locked and the key was not available. Not seen in the workshop was reported as “one DMU car ex Swanage” which we assumed as 59486 and “a Midland Kitchen Car”  which was assumed as BR 334 as it is used as a Kitchen in their Midlander train.

2) Midland Railway part Body 3575 was scrapped on site during 2005.

Notes; 

1) LMS coach 16553 was retrospectively identified. This was the coach on the far left line in the vintage carriage shed.

2) LMS coach 5682 was retrospectively identified. This was the maroon coach under the tarpaulin in the museum area.

3) LMS coach 10257 was retrospectively identified. This was the Red Saloon in the museum area.

4) BR coach 26157 was retrospectively identified. This was the corridor coach in the line at the side of the museum near 92219.

5) Of the missing DMUs, 51073 has gone to Ecclesbourne, 51993 has returned to Embsay and 79900 was away on loan at Cheddleton

6) Of the coaches not seen, GWR 233 and LMS 612 was suspected to be located on a siding around the back of the Princess Royal Loco Trust Depot.

7) Of the steam locos not seen, 80098 is on loan to Cheddleton, 92214 has gone to East Lancs, P 1967 has gone to RMS Locotec.

8) Of the diesel locos not seen, JF 16038 was reported after the visit as being located on a siding behind the Vintage Carriage Shed and 31421 was scrapped at EMR Kingsbury in 2007.
