1) The grid reference for this location is SY685723. 

2) Visits are not permitted to this company as it is a working site, but it can be viewed from  the grass bank behind. Publishing of photos of the site are strictly forbidden. 

3) Also present but not seen was 80104 (Bton/55), under restoration for Swanage Railway, believed to have been out of site in one the workshops.

Notes on Railway:

1) Class 37 loco 37324 has now returned to the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway.

2) SR 30053 & BR 80104 is at South Coast Steam under restoration (see above). SR 34028 is on loan to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

3) Pullman cars 246 and 247 are still in covered storage at Carnforth.

4) SR BTK 4365 is still at Rampart Rail under restoration.

5) BR Fish van 87249 has now gone to The Old Poste House, Blakemere.

6) Internal User 083630 was scrapped in early 2005.

7) Internal User 083657 is on loan to the Bluebell Railway until the end of October 2006.

8) Internal User 083660 was purchased from Tattenham Corner but never arrived on the Railway. Instead it was scrapped at Yeovil Junction in January 2001, after a period of storage, while en-route from Tattenham.  

9) There are 9 DMU cars (3 x 3 car sets) bought by Dorset County Council for use on the proposed Swanage to Wareham services, that are destined for the line in the future. These are currently stored at Winfrith Atomic Research site. The vehicles are 51341, 51353, 51356, 51392, 51395, 51398, 59486, 59492, 59521.

10) Herston Works was not visited. In there was believed to be SR 34070 “Manston”.

11) Sentinel 6515 has now been sold to Lavender Line.
