02/05 66071 worked the Avonmouth - Teeside "Fertiliser" train.

09/05 60004 worked the Wembley "Intermodal".

13/05 No MGRs were noted this evening, however four other freights were observed 66032 Avonmouth - Tyne Yard "Boxes", 66101 Tytherington "Stone", 66222 MoD Liner heading to south Wales and finally 66209 Margam - Fawley fuel tanks.

16/05 Five freight workings recorded this evening starting with 60041 and empty bogie fuel tanks to South Wales, 66217 Severnside -Middlesborough fertiliser service followed by 66240 MGR Avonmouth - Didcot, next 66002 headed empty MGR to Avonmouth and finally 66002 loaded steel train heading eastbound (Tidal - Purfleet).

20/05 The following freights were noted 66019 with the Tytherington "Stone", 66226 Avonmouth - Tyne Yard "Boxes", 66144 St Blazey - Cliffe Vale (Bescot) and 66240 Avonmouth - Didcot MGR. Also a "Mini-Liner" was seen comprising Railtrack MPVs conveying "Exel" tanks heading east.

22/05 Voyagers 220005/032 heading towards Temple Meads at 19.35, some 90 minutes in arrears.

23/05 The normally reliable 20.54 Plymouth service was running late this evening on account of being formed of loco and coaches, the loco being 47741. Freights noted were 66115 Severnside - Tees "Fertiliser", 66223 empty MGR to Avonmouth and 66190 working Tidal - Purfleet "Steel".

27/05 Four freights recorded this evening starting with the Avonmouth - Tyne Yard "Boxes" behind 66105, next up was the "Exel" mini-liner using Railtrack MPVs, followed by the "Fuel Train" with 66147 and finally a MGR from Avonmouth - Didcot utilising 66046.

Bristol Temple Meads and Barton Hill

02/05 220012/019 worked 1E28 06:45 T.M.-Newcastle and 1V55 13:08 return.

03/05 220012/019 were again on 1E28/1V55. 66512 was present at Barton Hill at 10.25. At 10.44, three 143 units 613/619/620 were seen at Montpelier heading towards Temple Meads some 30 minutes down on the scheduled service, suggesting a rescue mission had been undertaken.

07/05 Northbound departmental service seen at 11.10 headed by one of the few serviceable members of its class, 58024.

08/05 Two southbound services noted this evening just over a hour apart, at 18.45 66185 and 66169 at 19.55.

10/05 Empty stone hoppers recorded southbound at 16.45 behind 66031.

13/05 At Barton Hill at 21.30 found the following present 66525/553. 220012.

15/05 Sellafield - Bridgwater empty flasks noted en-route at 05.20 powered by 20307/308.

20/05 66199 hauled 1E61 15:50 Plymouth-Leeds as far as Temple Meads after 47829 developed a speedometer fault. At 19.00, the following were seen a Barton Hill, 47733, 66525/602, 220032 and 221104.

29/05 1V57 09:15 Aberdeen-Plymouth arrived at Temple Meads 45 minutes late with 43078 dead at the rear, carrying large oil streaks down its bodyside. The three rear coaches had oil stains on their sides. 47733 was at Exeter depot and was diagrammed to attach to the HST there to assist it to Plymouth.
